Chinese Iris Camera

Chinese Manufacturers and merchants known for their ability to copy anything from watches to iPhones are offering Iridology cameras for prices ranging from $149 - $895.

Their marketing tactics are aggressive and web content, software and charts have been stolen from their rightful owners, much of the equipment and software is sub standard and there is no re-cause. They never admit to selling faulty goods. Before you contemplate buying any of these cheap products check with your colleges if any have experience with that particular unit before you waste your money.

If you support a local designer / manufacturer, you know that the equipment will work and that the guarantee will be honoured.

Here are a collection of reviews left on Amazon for a cheap Chinese iridoly camera sold there:

1.0 out of 5 stars Trojan virus in the iriscope software!!!!!!

ByCesar Estradaon July 10, 2017

Product is simple but software installation sucks! The software carries a Trojan virus. My computer luckily blocks it but not sure if any others had the same luck. If the company is reading this please contact me by the email on the account. I have not been able to install a software to use my camera. So far this process sucks for such a simple camera. Not a good experience.

the software was a bootleg. this is a scam!!!!. not compatible with most computers!!

You may think that you can return the faulty equipment, however here is the return policy:

Return policy details

Buyers may return the item(s) for a refund if they are not as described or with quality issues within 30 days from the day the item(s) were received. The buyer is required to afford the return shipping cost, based on the condition of the item(s) received.

You see you need to pay for the shipping to China, which may cost around $ 75 to have a reasonable chance of it getting there. So they say "We will refund you xxx dollars (mostly 40-50%)" at that rate they still make money and you have some useless gadget.

This type of dealing are illegal in Australia and rightly so. Purchase LOCAL products for a little more money and get LIFETIME guarantee...
